An old dog. A broken bicycle. Shoes hanging by their laces on a telephone line. Henri Cartier-Bresson made a great deal of sense when he noted, “In photography, the smallest thing can be a great subject.” Big Bites Photography came forth from the idea of taking big bites out of life with the simple snap of a shutter. While it certainly takes an active imagination to create art with pencils or paint, it takes a lot of looking (and living) to create art in the form of an interesting photograph.
